Dot & Dab is the name given to the process of fixing plasterboard to a solid wall by way of plaster board adhesive.

Plastering Dot & Dab West Midlands

Plastering Dot and Dab is simply a way to stick plasterboard to walls. Generally, plasterboards are screwed into place but often cannot be fitted to blockwork or bricks.

With dot and dab, adhesive made from gypsum is mixed and applied in spots over the wall at regular intervals, or in some cases in strips around the boundary where the plasterboard will go. The plasterboard is then pushed onto the wall where it will stick and stay secured.

Advantages of using dot and dab is that when covering all the area behind the wall, it provides a solid anchor for raw plugs and other wall fixings.
